James Squire 150 Lashes Pale Ale (6 x 355ml Cans)
The first to grow hops and brew beer in the fledgling colony, James Squire’s place in Australian history is secure. A crafty blend of charm and assiduity, he grew from a convict shipped out on the First Fleet to Australia in disgrace, to a publican and philanthropist of great renown. The James Squire range is named for him.
150 Lashes, named for the punishment dealt out to the aforementioned convict, is a cloudy, straw coloured pale ale with a lightly floral aroma. Hints of passionfruit, grape and citrus combined with malted wheat contribute to its refreshing, highly sessionable character.
