Bacardi Carta Negra rum is created from fermented molasses and a combination of rums aged up to 4 years old. This is a black rum that is coloured by the caramel that is added especially for rum drinkers that enjoy a very dark rum that is full of flavour and perfect for cocktails. It is charcoal filtered for smoothness before mellowing in oak barrels for 4 years, this rum retains the rich flavour and full body of the original blend, without any harshness in taste.
On the nose this rum is full of rich flavours, consisting of caramel and spices with notes of black treacle and coffee beans. On the palate it is smooth and medium bodied with a medium finish with a touch of cinnamon on the tail.
