Drambuie - Heather Honey and Whisky Liqueur Miniature - 5cl - 40% ABV
The Scotch Whiskey Drambuie was created in Scotland 250 years ago. Its golden amber colour comes from the Saffron used. The selection of herbs, spices and Scottish honey are infused into scotch whiskey to create the smooth softness loved by everyone.
Drambuie formally called An Dram Buidheach which translates to the drink that satisfies. It was created around 250 years ago in Scotland and was known as the Prince of Scotlands elixir. It got registered as Drambuie in 1893 and uses ingredients such as saffron which gives the drink its golden amber colour. The secret selection of herbs, spices and Scottish honey is then infused by hand into the Scotch whiskey base. Malts from the Speyside and highland regions, renowned for their softness and smoothness, are used to complement the herbs and spices of the elixir. It is sweet to drink neat but adding a bit of ice to the drink makes it smooth and comfortable on the throat. Try it long with soda or ginger beer, topped off with fresh lime wedges, perfect for any occasion. Alternatively, the Drambuie Libertine - a Scottish take on the Caipirinha - with muddled limes, crushed ice and a generous measure of Drambuie is the perfect twist on this classic.
